About Us

Our Story

Dr. Tamkin received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the top dental university in the nation, New York University of College of Dentistry. Dr. Tamkin has also been an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry since 2010.

Dr. Tamkin is a staunch believer in furthering her professional knowledge, through attending scientific sessions, webinars, and hands-on workshops. Learning about advancements in treatment techniques and technologies ensures that she is able to stay at the forefront of her field and provide her patients with the widest array of proven dental care options. Dr. Tamkin was the recipient of The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Award for Excellence for her achievements in cosmetic dentistry as well as Honors in Care for Special Needs patients.

Dr. Tamkin is also an International graduate in the top five of the graduating class from Jinnah Medical and Dental College where she received additional training in Oral Pathology and Oral Surgery.

Dr. Tamkin was born in Iraq and raised in sunny Boca Raton, FL. Believing that everyone should have access to dental care, Dr. Tamkin has volunteered through Henry Schein to provide dental services to underserved communities both nationally and abroad. Dr. Tamkin’s desire to help others who are less fortunate has been apparent in her involvement with many charities from oral cancer, breast cancer and Give Back a Smile. As a Chair for the Give Back a Smile Foundation, and volunteer dentist her focus is providing smile restoration to victims of domestic and sexual abuse. Where she chooses to donate her time and services. She believes a smile strengthens one’s soul and encourages them to build the strength to move in life with confidence.

Dr. Tamkin believes she can help her patients achieve a healthy smile, body, and mind by practicing preventative dentistry and establishing guidelines to add to their lifestyle.

During her spare time, Dr. Tamkin enjoys raising her baby boy who surely has her wrapped around his little finger. She enjoys traveling as it opens doors to learning cultures and new possibilities, working out, and enjoying time with family and friends while trying different foods and being outdoors.

Smile Lab Dallas was her dream to share her passion for creating beautiful smiles and building a fearless confident version of YOU!

About Give Back A Smile

As a Chair for the Give Back a Smile foundation, Dr. Tamkin’s focus is providing smile restoration to victims of domestic and sexual abuse. She believes a smile strengthens ones’ soul and encourages them to build the strength to move in life with confidence.

The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Charitable Foundation’s (AACDCF) Give Back a Smile (GBAS) program heals some of the most devastating effects of domestic and sexual violence, by restoring the smiles of adult women and men who have suffered dental injuries from a former intimate partner or spouse, family member or due to sexual assault.
